"Seek and Find New Testament" is such a fun way to engage your kids with the stories of Jesus. It’s the type of book you’ll find your kids pulling off the bookshelf on their own to study and discover!

Korrie Johnson

This charming and interactive book teaches not only counting and Bible stories, it clearly points to Jesus as the ONE our children can trust and need.

Children love to play seek and find (and it’s really fun for parents too!). Seek and Find New Testament Bible Stories is a wonderful way for children to learn Bible stories while searching for various items in the illustrations. It’s an excellent way to engage young children as you share with them about Jesus.

“A favorite gift idea for 2-5s!”

I was so eager to receive this copy of the New Testament Seek and Find book because we’ve loved our Old Testament one so much. We like the over-sized board book format for starters. There’s plenty to look at on each brightly-colored action-filled spread--and it is sturdy for tiny readers.

The book includes eight stories, including the birth of Jesus, Zacchaeus, the last supper, and of course, the Resurrection. Each page is filled with “Seek and Find” illustrations, the Scripture reference, a short summary of the story and a one-sentence take-away point.

I love the take-aways, because they are short and it’s easy to remember and repeat them even when we’re just talking throughout the day. Truths like, “We can always trust Jesus” and “YOU are special and important to Jesus”.

Suggested for ages 2-5. This makes a wonderful engaging faith-based gift for Christmas. Pack it up with the Seek and Find Old Testament Stories book and give the set!

(Thanks to The Good Book Company for gifting me a copy for review.)

“Great Seek-and-Find Book!”

This board book features eight double-page spreads with vivid depictions of scenes from the New Testament. Sarah Parker introduces each story in a brief paragraph, and includes the source reference to each Bible passage. The illustrations from Andre Parker visualize the story and includes lots of little details for kids to search for and find based on the sidebar. This book will appeal to kids who like seek and find books, and could be great for siblings to work on together. I know that I would have enjoyed this when I was a child, since my sister and I loved looking for the hidden ladybugs in the illustrations of a devotional book from our childhood.

"Seek and Find: New Testament Bible Stories" does not retell the stories in detail, so if someone is looking for a book with more information about each narrative, this won't be their first choice. However, this is a great book to supplement family readings of each Bible story, or for kids who are already very familiar with the material. The illustrations include both historically accurate and whimsical details, but they never take liberties with the source material, and the characters reflect a variety of different skin tones, according to their real-life ethnic backgrounds.

This can be a fun gift book for kids, can be a supplement to family devotions, and would be a good activity book for a Sunday school or church preschool environment. It is also complex enough that it is not just for very young children. Younger kids can focus on the elements that are easier to find, while older kids will be able to find more and can do some of the additional challenges described inside the front covers. This is a great seek-and-find book that explores the story of Jesus in a simple and appealing way, and I would definitely recommend it.

“Our Favorite Go-To”

Our preschooler LOVES these style books because they’re engaging and interactive. With an active little one who can’t seem to sit still, these are my favorite go-to!

This particular Seek and Find book is awesome because it’s a larger format with a thick, cover and super-sturdy hard pages. The illustrations are fun and finding items offer a fun challenge for little eyes and minds.

My favorite part? That there is an added bonus of helping your preschooler or kindergartner count too! So on any given page, little ones are asked to find 1, 2, 3 things and so on, up to 10! It’s fun and creative while building concentration skills and memory focus.

Each page also offers a little story about Jesus and His life on earth. It’s short, sweet and has one big truth with scripture references. This would make an excellent gift for any child aged 2-5 and is a must for our church bag or long car rides.

“very fun”

This is a wonderful board book option for young kids to become engaged with Scripture.

My first impression was in regards to the illustrations. They are absolutely wonderful! Children will love the details and creative ways to depict specific bible stories.

The board book covers the following biblical stories:

- Baby Jesus Is Born: Luke 2: 1-20

- Jesus in the Temple Court: Luke 2:41-52

- A paralyzed Man is Healed: Luke 4:17-26

- Jesus calms a Storm: Mark 4: 35-41

- Jesus Loves Little Children: Mark 10:13-16

- Zacchaeus Meets Jesus: Luke 19:1-10

- The Special Meal: Luke 22:14-20

- Jesus is Alive: John 20:11-18

Each section takes up two full pages and includes a very brief summary of the story. The seek and find portion is perfectly developed for younger children to stay engaged but not get frustrated with being unable to find the object.

This was a fun book for younger children and depending on the specific child, may or may not require adult assistance.

“Engaging way to make Bible stories memorable!”

This is such a perfect way to engage with the 2-6 year old age group about New Testament Bible stories. Each spread has a Bible reference, paragraph summary, and then a takeaway sentence, followed by 10 seek-and-find pictures/directives. For example, in "Jesus Calms A Storm" spread, there is the Bible reference (Mark 4: 35-41), a short paragraph to read, a one-sentence takeaway ("We can always trust Jesus."), and then the "seek and find" goes from 1-10, starting with "One Calm Jesus, Two Frightened Crabs, ....Ten Slimy Green Seaweeds." The illustrations are perfect and as culturally accurate as you're going to get with cartoons.

It is worth noting--for those who adhere to the 2nd commandment as a directive to avoid picture representations of Jesus--that this book does include cartoon representations of Jesus on almost every page. I appreciate how well done the pictures are, but do think it's worth mentioning for my brothers and sisters in Christ who interpret the 2nd commandment as avoidance of such.

“Balance of Fun and Faith”

Great board book which balances well between some fun challenges to find all of the items and a simple Bible story with a Jesus-centred message. It's really well printed and much thicker than I had expected so will be easy to use with younger children too.
