Such a helpful book. It is written with compassion and with complete honesty. For those who have children who are not following Jesus it provides comfort but also gives helpful direction in how to go forward. This is a gentle but clear, thought-provoking and encouraging book about how to respond when our children walk away from Jesus. It is filled with Scripture and points to Jesus and his abounding grace throughout. It offers hope and encouragement but doesn't shy away from the immense pain and feelings of guilt carried by parents of those who have walked away and offers helpful ways to bring these to Jesus in lament and repentance. There are also lots of helpful ways for church members to support those in this position. I highly recommend if you are in this position or ...if you have any desire to love and support those in this position.

This book does more harm than good to our children. Of course we should still show love to our child, of course we should still love Jesus- this is common sense. If you have to read an entire book to understand these things, you have clearly not read the Bibble.
