I love a good children’s devotional workbook. I also especially love that this one is “boy-ish” because we tend to see more girly Bible resources than ones that interest my 8 year old son. Greatest of All Time prompts children to dig into Scripture to learn about our Savior. Each day begins with reading the verses, followed by various was of providing context clarification, historical relevance, backstories, and further thoughts on the readings before ending with a prayer prompt. It’s written and illustrated in ways that easily engage children without dumbing things down. It’s grounded in Scripture while maintaining accessibility for kids. There are 8 weeks with 5 daily devotionals and a weekly roundup for each week. Each day is a 2-page spread with minimal writing sections. It’s just enough for children without being overwhelming or boring.
