Description

Fun and interactive, this faithful Bible story retelling doesn't just share what happened at Easter - kids engage with the emotions of the story and discover the good news of the gospel!

As the storybook says:

"King Jesus died and rose again so that we can be friends with God forever!"

Kids ages 2+ will be captivated as they:

  • See the faces of lots of people who were there at the first Easter
  • Consider and enact the emotions of the first Easter
  • Express their own reaction to the good news of Jesus

Using invitations to join in with facial expressions as a storytelling technique, this exciting and educational story encourages active listening. The vibrant illustrations will also keep kids' attention.

Your little one will ask to read this classic Easter Bible story over and over again.

Perfect for read-aloud times, giving away at Easter and gifting in Easter baskets.

How might you have felt as Jesus was taken away to the Cross or during the dark days during his death or after you discovered He had risen? I imagine a mixture of scared, sad, frightened, but ultimately surprised, joyful and happy when Jesus rose from the dead. In A Very Happy Easter, Tim Thornborough helps kids (and adults too!) experience those various emotions through Jesus' friends who were there with him. Ultimately, they rejoice and we can rejoice too! He is Risen, indeed!
